• Primary responsibility of integrating Dyna-Drill, Canada Engineering & Manufacturing Center into Schlumberger Quality and Business Systems after the merger.
• Implemented the latest Quality Information System (QIS) for efficiently managing records, non-conformance management, effective process data collection, and complete digitization to go paperless.
• Developed trackers and dashboards to monitor quality and production metrics in real-time using PowerBI.
• Prepared a roll-out plan for Concurrent Life Cycle Management System (Schlumberger QMS) for the center by involving several stakeholders, including the center manager, product line management team, quality system managers, ERP-QIS business system managers.

• Successfully commercialized 4 measurement and monitoring gauge products, that monitors the performance and health of submersible pumps and motors, by taking ownership of the complete design and development cycle from concept validation, detailed mechanical design, prototyping, technical risk assessments, validation tests to production ramp-up by collaborating with a multi-cultured, cross-functional team involving electrical and electronic experts, quality functions, reliability, HSE, TCC and manufacturing engineers.
• For short-cycle customization projects, as a Project Manager, assess the new requirements and determine technical and project risks, determine the efforts and resources required, put together a budget, schedule, prepare business case, project plan, and RFQ. Once launched, prepare project maturity tracker, monitor life cycle timelines, arrange critical decision point review meetings, and steer the project through the stage-gate process till its successful completion
• Performed several engineering simulations using ANSYS Workbench, Fluent and ABAQUS to assess various product failure modes for static and dynamic loading conditions such as shock, vibration response and temperature rise, to optimize the design and mitigate the risks thereby reducing time-to-market and prototyping costs.
• Led a team of 3 design engineers with a strong focus on leadership skills, giving team members the autonomy they need, coaching them through challenges, and providing transparency with department objectives and management decisions.
• Received 4 Gold Awards for excellent performance in completing proof-of-concept of new-to-market ideas that were strategic to the growth of the business segment. (7 patent applications)
• Executed cost reduction and rationalization projects with Lean Six Sigma approach to reduce the total cost of ownership (TCO), product and labour costs resulting in an annual savings of over 600K USD.

• Responsible for complete mechanical design of single-phase and three-phase energy meters. Completed 3 full design cycles as a key contributor in successfully launching the single-phase DIN meter, Pre-paid meter and three-phase Smart Meter.
• Presented several new concepts with Design for Six Sigma approach to reduce assembly time, avoid rejections by fool-proofing the design, component cost reduction and injection molding process time reduction.
• Designed several injection molded plastic enclosures for installing energy meters according to tender specification and comply with ISO 50001 for temper-proofing against EMI EMC, DC and AC magnetic fields, high voltage sparks and ingress protection.
• Executed Six Sigma and Value Engineering (ASTM E1699-4) projects resulting in over 50K USD annual savings.
• Responsible for implementing ASME Y14.5 GD&T standard across product line and upgrading the legacy product files to new standard. Developed internal GD&T best practices and trained design engineers.
• Awarded Top-Performer of the Year for 2010 and 2011 for significant contributions in elevating the design and development process to higher standards.

Worked on research projects related to sandwich beam structures for design optimization techniques from empirical data and developed a software with GUI to process and visualize data that would assist in optimization of honeycomb beam structures. Executed simulations on Hot-arm applications using COMSOL Multiphysics environment. Team member of PACE program to develop heat exchangers for F1 specifications in collaboration with GE, Sun Systems and Brigham Young University.
